Making friends as transfer, nontraditional student

I just transfer to an university this Fall. I had been busy by joining various classes, taking my upper divisions, and etc. but I feel pretty empty as I am 5 weeks in during my Fall Quarter. For some reason, I am having a hard time making friends. I tried to talk to my classmate and make study group, but all of them just ignore me. It is even harder for me as an older student (25 years old) to make friend who are 20 years old. I found myself having a hard time keeping up with conversations because the things they care as 20 years old are what I don't really care about it now. I feel out of places. Is this normal or am I completely introvert?

Tough situation. I would try joining clubs. That way, you may find people who have similar interests. If you find people with similar interests, it would be easier for your to make friends at college.

Best of luck
Being a college transfer is tough.
