<p>I am surprised no one has mentioned this, but he recently lost his wife due to her illness, so I wonder if this might explain his sudden downturn.</p>
<p>Yes, I noticed that his wife died a couple of years ago. There actually is a stat that shows that widowers often don’t live for many years after their wives die. Not always, but often.</p>
<p>Charlotte Moore suffered from Alzheimer’s disease. She was diagnosed in 1990, I believe. I read something yesterday that said she had not been able to say his name for the last 10 years before her death.</p>
