It's exactly 2 more weeks until the results for Ivy League schools are out...good luck everyone!

All the best everyone!

Hi I'm from Kuching, Sarawak. Best of luck to all!

I'm applying this autumn, which makes me in the class of 2014 :).

@python38: Let me know if you need any sort of help or if you have any questions.. Good luck furnishing your application.

@Ex Nihilo: I don't think Ivies offer likely letters to international non-athetic applicants, unless you've had a notable achievement on an international scale (say, an International Math Olympiad medal). Unless some of you here are athletic applicants. Haha

Princeton has already emailed applicants that the release date for Class of 2013 admissions decisions is next Wednesday, 5am +0800 GMT (Msian Time), 1st April 2009!

P.S. But frankly, I think chances are very low. Sigh

The letters are in! (Well, some of them.)

I somehow got admitted to JHU with a 690 on my math level 1 (ONE!!!) SAT II. Hahaha, I’m laughing in relief!

Good luck everyone! Ivy decisions on Wednesday :)

congratulations miraboo! :)

anyone else got offers already?

and good luck to everybody awaiting decisions! hope more of us get in :D

Congrats, Miraboo!

Yee Jie, heard you got Berkeley…congrats too! :D

Good luck everyone!

I’m fidgeting so much waiting to hear from Columbia and Stanford!

thanks gabrielle! and congratz on wellesley too :)

ivies and stanford on april fool. 3 days away! ahhhh

let’s share the joy here that day. or grief (hopefully not!)

Aaaaahhhhh first email of the day was Tufts (admitted, yay!)

Second was Stanford = rejected. (I didn’t think I’d get in anyway, but rejection stings nonetheless!)

Five minutes later, at about 6am, I checked the Columbia website to find that they’d rejected me too. Sigh.

I was admitted to Northwestern, Tufts and Hopkins, and will most likely be attending Hopkins this autumn (I refuse to say fall:)) I hope everyone else fared better than me on the Ivy front! Is anyone else going to JHU? Let me know!

Gratz, everyone!

I am half Pakistani and live in Britain, lol… but I am also half Malay :).

Heya guys…

Another fellow malaysian here =). A not so awesome student and extracurricular participator, lol. BUT…

Got into UCLA and Carnegie Mellon. Not so yay though, these weren’t my top choices. But guess that what happens when you apply last minute, so don’t play play future applicants!

Rejected by Caltech (longshot anyway) Berkeley (noooo… ='() and Stanford (noooo x 10)

But even UCLA and Carnegie are doubtful, unless someone lands me a huge chunk of duit raya, lol. Or some late ang pow, i don’t mind either. Any takers? =P

hydrogen:

I don’t think ANYONE got into Stanford. I told my mom the list of my friends who got rejected and then she asked me, “So WHO exactly got into Stanford?!”

No one I know :p

Hello, hello, fellow malaysians!
My name may or may not be one of the following: bryan, or tomato; and I’m from, uh, malaysia?

miraboo…

Sorry to break the bad news, but i DO know of someone who got into Stanford. A friend of mine in fact. LOL, she helped proofread my essays (I read her own, she applied for early decision, so I had a good reference =P). Very industrious girl, lots of ECs (which she was passionate about too), superb english skills (MPH award winner), great at studies so she quite rightly deserved to be there. And pretty too, for the benefit of any Malaysian guy in Stanford who would like some company ;)

On my front… seems like I have 2 go through the whole application process again… have to apply to a community college =(. Pray for me guys, that I do get to transfer out smoothly to Berkeley or even UCLA back again in 2 years. Will still gun for Stanford 2 =)

I still got a UCLA bumper sticker through the mail, lol! Waiting 4 the one from Carnegie, a good consolation XD

hydrogen - since you got into UCLA and Carnegie, why don’t you choose one and go there instead? I don’t think it’s worth it for an international student to go to a CC.

xfiona

Financial circumstances really. Lets just say they were looking a lot better at the time when I applied compared to now =(. I have two brothers who are going to college soon as well, and I don’t want to blow off my parents’ hard earned cash. Face it, its about ~$50k a year for UCLA and Carnegie. Haihz, I don’t know if I’m doing the right thing either really. I could just end up stuck in a CC, not being able to go to the schools I once did, or just totally hating it. And there’s the small matter that I could be overqualified for the CCs in the first place…

Its just an all around hard time 4 me I guess. I’m mostly to blame for it though, so I really have no right to complain. Gotta roll with the punches =)

Didn’t Carnegie give you any aid? I know that UCs can’t give any aid whatsoever but Carnegie might be able to. Yeah, I would think that you’re overqualified for a CC.

Are your brothers going to the States too? You could take up loans, if anything. When there’s a will, there’s a way, right? :)

where’d everyone go?
