<p>Just a quick reminder to parents and students about Emory's mandatory insurance requirement. If you already have insurance on your child that meets the requirement, you can get an insurance waiver. Otherwise it costs $2,000 per year and you can't go to Emory without insurance. </p>
<p>Just wanted to make sure those that needed the info to budget their actual COA would have it.</p>
<p>Is the mandatory insurance included in the housing costs? or is it just something they add on or remove once you get there once you get there? Like if you dont need the 2000 insurance does that bring your COA down from 52,000 to 50,000?</p>

<p>scrunner: Negative. The $52k is prior to the insurance. So the real COA is $54k for those that have to purchase it.</p>
