I am really interested in both USNA and USMA.
However, I just noticed something attention-grabbing.
I think that you are obligated to serve for at least 5 years for army if you choose to go west point.
And I believe USNA wants you to fulfill that mission as well. However, I have seen some cases that some USNA graduates go to NFL after only serving 2 yrs at navy.
Are there any similar cases or leniency for west point graduates too?

The purpose of United States Service Academy's is to train and prepare young men and women to be officers in the military. If you are there for any other reason it is not the place for you.

All of the services now have the same service requirements for academy graduates. There was a way in the past that a West Point graduate could go directly to the NFL upon graduation. Navy threw a fit because it perceived that the method by which a West Point graduate could go into the NFL, or other professional sports, was not fair to Navy. You can probably find the earlier threads on this forum if you go back about a year. In any event, the rules are the same now at all of the Service Academies regarding service and there is a way, after two years for a West Point graduate to go into professional sports.

However, I agree with djfrro that if your goal is to play professional sports, the Service Academies are not where you should be looking to go to school.
