March 2012 SAT I Math Thread

@cheme i think that was experimental. looks a bit hard and i dont remember it

can someone estimate what -1 will get?

The average for -1 is 790.

I’m pretty sure this time it would be 770-780. Most likely 780. Actually I’m almost 100% sure 780.

Unless CB pulls a “January” on us. Yah I think it’s safe to say that “to january” can now be defined as a term for screwing the silly-mistake math people in the bum.

Whats a “January”

Hey guys, this isn’t a math related question, but did you guys bubble in stuff under the place where you had to write that long statement in cursive and sign?

Our instructor never told us to answer those special questions or whatever they were… I just realized. o__o

-1 math translates to 760.

That’s how you january someone.

@meatkabob yeah that’s how you get a 2400+! you’ve never heard?

^ haha jimmy pod I love your bitterness

@jimmypod
Haha, gee thanks.
No I’m being serious though.
I don’t want my scores to be cancelled because of some survey questions or something :/

@meatkabob

I don’t think those are relevant to anything. I’ve never heard of anyone actually doing them. They’re probably for some special group (standby testers? international? who knows)

was the question with a graph that asked about heartbeat less than 40 years old and over 185 experimental? i didn’t know if over 185 included 185 or not…so i put 4 :o

Would anyone retake if they got a

740M 760W 610R January

and around -3M -5W - (4-6ish)R today?

It’s just that I improved a lot on CR but dropped in the other two…

Can someone please be supernice and ans this question Do you guys remember the question: 1/a + 1/b + 1/c = 1, where 1<a<b<c, what is the value of C? I put 10 This might’ve been the experimental tho
Please tlel me this was experimental.

For the heartbeat I think it was in this same section, I too put 4 down :)

superscore

@GoodJobBro
Personally with a 2100 i wouldnt retake it unless your looking at top ivys. 2100 is a really good score in my opinion. If i get 1900+ im not retaking.

@baabaablacksheep

It was not experimental.

Just kidding it was.

I don’t remember that, but I also have an experimental math section.

Do people with the same type of experimental section get the same exact questions?

LOL Jimmypod, good humor

Heartbeat (or was it test scores, lol) was 4. It specifically said UNDER 40 and OVER ###, implying < or >.

what was the distance from the max to min for the f(x)=2? Was it 6?

^agreed to both above posters

^agreed to drac313

C: C: C: C:
