March OV at D3? (swimming)

One of the D3 schools my son and I visited in August is offering him an OV in November. Problem is, he is going to a different school the weekend after that, and he needs to fly to both. In short, logistics says “no” - there is too much school going on on top of everything else.
The school in question did a pre-read on him and told him he will get at least $XX in merit aid, so, I’m assuming, it also means he will get in. The school is not his top choice, but pretty close, probably top 3.
They are also giving him an option to do an OV in March (which will also be a very busy time). This will probably be around the time he will have some decisions already. He is definitely applying to the school.

Will there be value in March visit? Is it ok to politely decline November visit due to conflicts without implying his interest is not so high? (It is still pretty high, as I said)

I think the March visit will be more like an accepted student day, with more focus on the athletic opportunities (meeting the team and coaches, seeing the facilities). I don’t think there is anything wrong with it unless he commits to another school before then.

He can be honest and say he just doesn’t have the time in the fall, is still applying RD to the school, and would like to come in the spring. Then see what happens.
