March SAT 2010 Score Predictions

What would be -2M, -4CR, and -5W with an 8 essay?

I thought -2 in CR was still an 800 ?

@Vlectric: don’t worry 750 for -2 is for a very harsh curve (not for math though xD).

is a 2400 still possible with an extremely good curve?

-2 is pushing it, but is possible for the nicest of curves. -3 probably not.

Does -.5 count as -1 or -0?

believe it is -0 because they round up

How could you get -.5?
You can miss 2 and not get any points deducted for wrong answers if that’s what you mean.

math 600
writing 620
reading 520

total 1740

when do the scores come back???

april 1, right smack at the beginning of my spring break

http://www.erikthered.com/tutor/SAT-Released-Test-Curves.pdf</a>
-2 in reading is almost always an 800

I think i got
760-770 CR (-4)
770-800 M (I better not have missed one but i always make stupid mistakes)
760-770 W (11-12 Essay, -2 MC)
2290-2340 Combined

y is everyone being so pessimistic on reading?
Does anyone know what -4 was on CR for january tesT?

Can anyone who has an idea of what the scale will be like for the difficulty of this test specifically tell me how i’ve done:

Best case scenario:
CR: 3 Omitted, 6 Wrong
W: 11 essay, 2 Wrong MC
M: 1 Wrong MC

Worst case scenario:
CR: 3 Omitted, 10 wrong
W: 9 essay, 4 wrong MC
M: 2/3 Wrong MC

Thank you!!!

-4 in Jan was 750.

For people who took the January test, how do you think the CR curve will be in relation to it?

What are you thinking for 2 wrong?

^

this one was a lot harder

-3 for 800

Too bad -3 800 is of almost no use. I’d go out on a limb and say 99% of SAT takers who are expecting an 800 CR will not omit a single question, therefore eliminating the possibility of a -3 score.

As of right now its looking like:
CR: 800, -1 multiple choice
M: 710, -1 multiple choice, -2 free response
W: 800, -2 multiple choice, 12 essay
But I’ll have to wait till April 1st to find out!

CR: 3 Omitted, 7 wrong
W: 10 essay, 2 wrong MC
M: 2 wrong MC

CR: 670
W: 770
M: 760
Total: 2200
Can anyone confirm?

^ Cookiemonster 2 wrong M will probably yield a 750 or possibly a 740 like Jan.
