Marist College

Hello I am a rising senior and I would like to attend Marist College but unfortunately my Gpa without my art class is a 2.6 I could not work very well in school due to health problems and depression although now I am healthy, my junior year took a toll. However I have worked a lot: I am working with Burundian refugees this summer, I have a fashion internship and an internship in a bank I am also affiliated with several humanitarian associations and I have a fashion blog also although I did my high school career in the United States I am an international student because I am from Rwanda a small country in Africa I also speak three languages including English and I am learning Portuguese and after I plan on learning Spanish and I have traveled in more than 10 countries I know they have become very selective but I would love to attend their school because of their fashion program and business program is there a slight chance I might make it?

Hello, I am a sophomore at Marist College. I think that you have a lot of great experiences and attributes to be a great Marist student. As for the admission process and acceptance rate, that changes every year. My advice to you would be to apply and give it all you got. Showcase your abilities in your essay and when you explain about yourself. Marist loves to see applications from all types of students which showcases our diverse student body. As well you have a great attribute being that you could be an international student check out this page on the Marist Website which give you more information about other international students and the program itself https://www.marist.edu/admission/international/. I think that you should also come visit the school if you go to high school near here, this would show your interest and maybe email an admissions counselor about your concern. Everyone at Marist is super helpful and would be more than willing to answer your question, so don’t hesitate to email or call admissions. admission@marist.edu, Phone: (845) 575-3226 and/or (800) 436-5483
Hope this helps and good luck!
