<p>It is fine if the people on this list intend to be music majors at their chosen schools, whether or not they can declare that intent to the school this early. One purpose of the list is to provide potential contacts for those who are following this path in the future. Perhaps someone listed at a Yale or Harvard, or even at an Indiana or Oberlin will change directions once they get there and perhaps not. That really does not matter because the perspectives that they have to share may be of huge interest either way to someone trying to decide whether to apply there or whether to matriculate.</p>

<p>Ah, I see, thanks for the clarification. I was under the impression that the list was more for schools that had an audition process, etc. but it makes sense for other schools to be included in case someone wanted to contact a person in a particular school’s program.</p>
