<p>You are right about the common data set. while they you will find the overall number of applications and subsequent admissions, waitlists, ed etc. the bulk of the information is about students who have decided to matriculate.</p>
<p>I have read the link you provided and I am going back to my original suggestion. Your best bet would be to look at the college newspapers of the schools that your son is interested in attending. </p>
<p>Keep in mind that even those numbers are not "final" because there is a summer melt as students are called off of waitlists at other places and decide to attend other schools.</p>
