Master of Public Health and chances?

Anyone applying for a MPH, beginning fall 2012 out there? Where are you applying and what are your stats? We could offer some helpful feedback to each other regarding our chances.

Applying: BU, Drexel, Columbia, New York Medical, University of Pittsburgh, Brown, Uconn, and Dartmouth

Accepted: University of Pittsburgh

Still waiting on the others...

GPA: 3.69, the SOPHAS breakdown worked out nicely with my lowest GPA being a 3.69 and my highest being a 4.0 in math/statistics.

GREs: took new GRE and not my best work... so I'm hoping admission won't dwell on this too much.

Statement of Purpose: Very solid with lots of relevant work experience, reasons why I want to pursue an MPH, why that specific school, etc.

Recommendations: 2 from professors, 1 from current boss in a clinical research job, all very solid/

Experience: *Currently a clinical research coordinator working on a chronic disease study.
* Directed a implementation program for inner city kids to increase college access.
* Interned at a non-profit child advocacy institution promoting health care.

Other: Held many leadership positions during my undergrad years. One published group study during undergrad years.

update: accepted at New York Medical College

Is anyone else applying for an MPH, beginning Fall, 2012?

I’m getting a PhD in public health and I applied to MPH programs in 2007-2008. I think you’ll be fine, especially with your CRC experience and the other volunteer/work things you’ve done.
