Hi guys,

I've been living in NY for 9 months, I improved my English and now I want to enroll at Baruch College for a MS (not MBA) in Marketing. For international students they require a Toefl score which is about 100 and a good GMAT score, especially in the writing section. Many people told me that you are not out of the game if you don't get the 100..they will make an average considering the toefl, the gmat, my essay, the recomendation letter.and my GPA which is 3.9 translated from my italian Diploma.

My Toefl score is 91, my GPA is 3.9. I still have to take the Gmat but i'm trustful about the writing score. How many possibilities do I have? I don't know how it works in America..we don't even use the recomendation letter...so I just want to know if you have some advice on which to work to introduce myself in the best way possible...what do you think about my possibilities to get in?

You should ask this in the International Forum and in the MBA Forum.

You can reach them by clicking on “Discussion Home” in the upper left of this screen and then scrolling down.

Why don’t you make an appointment with the graduate admissions office at Baruch and ask the counselor there what steps you should take?

i think you’re in. no worries.

Thank you for the replies and sorry if I chose the wrong section…I should have checked it before… I think I will definitely go to the Graduate Admissions office…the fact is that im in italy now cuz my first F-1 Visa just expired. I will come to the US at the half of September…trying to obtain the admission from Baruch. IT’s the only school which I’ve been spoken very good about, especially for the business program…FURKANK, are you a Baruch student…is that why you told me I might be in?

my friend just got accepted with lower stats : )

nothing else guys?

I am a Baruch Grad, you will get in.

Furkank…may I know when your friend got accepted…was it a MS?

they just sent an email from the admissions office and they require a toefl score of 96 ( 22 W, 23S, 26R, 25L) and the average GMAT score is 590. Do you guys know whether or not they’re flexible on it?
