Masters Environmental Studies?

I was accepted into a Masters of Environmental Studies at the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia. Great school with great name, but I am wondering if the program would be worth the time and money. I was thinking about concentrating in Environmental Policy and Planning.

Courses:

Modeling Geographic Objects - GIS Spatial Analysis

Environmental Law

Physical Geology for Environmental Professionals

Introduction to Hydrology

Aqueous Geochemistry

How to Quantify Sustainable Practices in Business and Manufacturing

Current EPA Regulatory Practices and Future Directions

Sustainable Design

So you have science, law and policy all wrapped into one interdisciplinary program.

Is it marketable? I was thinking about adding a GIS Specialization certificate too.

The program is going to cost an arm and leg so I was wondering if it's worth the investment.

Thanks

Anyone? C’mon guys!

Here is a helpful thread - http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/science-majors/942610-environmental-science-major-questions.html</a> - that I posted in which may give more insight.

What was your undergrad major? And how much does the program really cost? What are program graduates doing now?

GIS is definitely a helpful skill, as is the ability to write technical reports.

You are welcome to post more questions, and I will try to answer as time permits.

LAGator, I sent you a private message. Please Check.

Anyone else, feel free to chime in.
