I guess a Masters in Financial Engineering degree will open up a bigger and better job prospect for u which will eventually help you in gaining a good work experience, which in turn will help u in gaining admission in a great B-School.

uh hi ronty...ur everywhere arent u..hehe thanks...

any other views...

well, i'm doing a masters in fe right now, although not because i want it to "help" me get in an mba program, but i have heard it certainly wont hurt, since this is a very quanititaive and tough, i must add, program...i guess they see it as if you overcome that and succeed, chances are...you are a good candidate.

yes. Omnipresent ;)

In my opinion, it would be dumb to get a masters in FE and then want an MBA.

Why?

A masters in FE will help you get into a career like trading, something where your quant skills will be needed and will get you ahead. They don't care much for MBAs in trading, they're seen as a waste of time and money.

A masters in FE wont help you do traditional banking (M&A, corp. finance) which are things that you usually use an MBA to get into/advance in.
