<p>Son is currently applying to some highly ranked online MS ME programs that stream classes as if you were there. Seems a popular way to stay employed while attaining the degree. Anyone familiar with these programs?</p>

<p>Ask about interaction with professors and other students. Some students prefer the recorded lectures so they can view on their own time, whereas others want to be able to join a class live. In programs where classes are recorded, students can still interact live via online office hours, web conferencing, and the course management sites. Purdue and UIUC, for example, offer classes online where students view course recordings… </p>
