my current list of colleges lacks good match options. basically.
i have in-state safeties and a decent number of reaches, but i only have 1, maybe 2 schools that i suppose you would consider match schools.
trust me, i've done my research, but it seems with all the schools i've found i'm either settling or setting myself up for rejection-- neither of which seem favorable.
you guys can help more than just about anyone, so suggestions/comments/questions/criticisms/random exclamations/whatever is all appreciated in its own special way.

i don't want to be long-winded so here's my less than fabulous and most basic stats.

GPA: 3.9 UW, 4.6 W
SAT: 660 V, 660 M, 600 W (1320/1920)
SAT II: just chemistry = 720 for now
ACT: 29 (10 essay), but just because i'm bitter i'm going to say that when i took it without writing (i don't know why i did) i got a 30.
AP Tests: only took AP Lang = 4

-wind ensemble (superiors in grade VI music, blah blah blah)
-marching band (section leader for 2 years, and maybe, hopefully, brass captain this year)
-all county, all district bands. each one once a year. either 1st or 2nd chair.
-soccer (2 JV, 2 V) i got an honorable mention for the county team last year so yee haw and yippee skippy.
-i volunteer at an art museum from time to time
-summer programs at appalachian university and northwestern university

that seems like enough of that crap.

stuff i'm looking for in a school

-i believe i want to major in some kind of neuroscience or behavioral science so a school having those majors would be a definite plus, but if the school is a generally good science school i'm open to that too.
-diversity is always good, but not necessary
-no severe religious affliliation
-i'm more left wing, but like i said diversity is always good too
-the tuition to be somewhat reasonable if at all possible.. a lot of the schools on my "list" are almost ridiculous
-i'm kind of open about size, i would prefer at least 5000 (and 20000 wouldn't bother me either), but i'm willing to bend.
-location is also pretty open. i'm not in favor of the midwest, but everything else would be dandy.
-schools NOT in north carolina would be highly preferred as well

is that enough? hopefully.
you don't necessarily have to be helpful to reply.
you can tell me if i've left out vital information.
or laugh at me for being lame.
i don't care, replies of all kinds are always welcome.

thanks for all your assistance and/or lack thereof!
(i mean that!)
