Math 10: Stats

Is this course offered in the fall? Also, does anyone what book is used for this course? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Not offered until spring term.
Textbook: Statistics, 4th Edition, by Freedman, Pisani, and Purves

Thanks a lot!

Take another 10 course (GOVT 10, ECON 10, PSY 10)…

I sat in on a few Math 10 classes and died of boredom. Everything had to do with marbles and cards and… argh. At least the other ones are at least somewhat relevant and have students who are majoring/minoring in something similar.

Are you just taking Math 10 for the QDS? There’s always LING 1… or MATH 3/8.

Yeah i was gonna take it for the QDS. Are you only allowed to take one 10 course? Also, if you wanna major in econ, I know the prerequisite is ECON 10 but can you replace that with another 10 course or no?

You are generally only allowed to take one 10 course, and they are usually easily interchangeable as long as you submit a petition to the department.

Math 10 can usually substitute for any other 10s, but psyc 10, etc., can’t. For instance, the economics department only accepts math 10 as substitute for econ 10.
