Math 54, Physics 7a - Hallatschek, Chem 1b........

I don't see any reviews for the profs below...how are they in terms of easiness, helpfulness, exam difficulty, etc. Thanks.

Math 54 - Wehrheim

Physics 7a - Hallatschek

Chem 1b - Douskey; also how is this class wrt easiness (exam difficulty) compared to Chem 1a

You didn’t have to post this 4-5 times xD

anyways not sure about the classes since I have not taken any of them, so hopefully others can provide information about the difficulty, though they aren’t going to be a walk in the park.

certain professors might not have ratings because they have not taught at berkeley before, or they have taught but there are no ratings. It seems like 2/3 of the ones you want have no ratings

www.ninjacourses.com have ratings for certain classes. please note these are SUBJECTIVE, but they do have some useful information regarding the teachers/classes…also use ratemyprofessors.com to check teacher ratings

Math 54 - Wehrheim : she has no ratings, and it seem like her first time teaching this class, but she has teaching experience from MIT. you can look at her website here: http://math.mit.edu/~katrin/</a></p>

Physics 7a - Hallatschek
he seems more like a researcher…and I have found that researchers tend to not be good at teaching intro to physics, but that’s my opinion.

Chem 1B -Douskey http://ninjacourses.com/ratings/view/instructor/767/</a>
<a href=“Michelle Douskey at University of California Berkeley | Rate My Professors”>Michelle Douskey at University of California Berkeley | Rate My Professors;
here are reviews about the teacher, she has not taught Chem 1B, but she has taught other chemistry classes

totalcaprice - thanks for your comments…I’ve got it all; sorry, about this extra post, as it went into the wrong thread and I was trying to figure out a way to remove this post…still can’t remove it. Please let me know if you know how to delete a post completely.

nah, don’t worry about it. I don’t think that posts can be deleted.

Edit on the physics 7a I meant that I learned from experience that researchers tend not to be good at teaching and not specifcally about intro to physics

Ummm, all professors do research, since Berkeley is a research university. That does not necessarily mean that they are not good at teaching (although there are better and worse ones at teaching).

haha, sorry, you’re right that’s a generalization.
