Math at Brandeis?

Hi! My son just re-looked at Brandeis, and it may be moving up to second place. In case he does not get into his first choice, we were wondering how strong Brandeis’s math department is. I checked the school website and looked over the math profs CV’s, and saw that they graduated from some impressive schools. But that doesn’t mean they are strong teachers. Checking thru College Confidential, there is a thread from 2008 (!) which indicates that TA’s were teaching some of the classes.

Does anyone have any current insight into the department? Thanks in advance.

Speaking as a parent whose child is a current math PhD student (not at Brandeis), I can say that my child thought that the grad math program at Brandeis is good and therefor included it in the list of grad school applications. Thus, one would assume that the undergrad math program is good too, as it includes the same professors and any TA’s are current PhD students.

Anyone who is currently enrolled or involved with the school have any data on the math dept?
