<p>Math Competitions are too overated. Don't worry about it.</p>

<p>If you really want to become worthy, win the Putnam Competition. IMO doesn't even measure up to that.</p>
<p>IMO and Putnam are non-comparable. One is at pre-college level, the other is at college level.</p>
<p>Arguably IMO is far more prestigious than the Putnam. The problems are harder too.</p>

<p>(I agree with tetrahedron - plenty of people who have done both think that IMO is mathematically superior to Putnam.)</p>
