Just thought of this and I thought I'd get some opinions from my CCers'.
- How bad will it look if I don't take the most rigorous math track available to me? For instance, right now I am in Algebra 2 Honors, and next year I'm on track to take Pre-Calculus Honors, and then senior year AP Stat or AP Calculus, but I'm beyond horrible at math, and the Pre-Calculus/AP Stat/AP Calculus teacher[he teaches all three .-.] and I do not get along, nor is he a good teacher imo. Would it look really bad to adcoms and such if I took an easier math route, especially if my dream school is Vanderbilt?

yes…

No. Take this challenge. If you can accomplish this daring fleet then you can succeed in college. If the teacher refuses to help you on your homework take it up with a higher-up or ask another math teacher (even if one doesn’t have your subject).
