So there's a math diagnostic test and a english essay new students have to complete by July 1st apparently. My question, to anyone who's taken the diagnostic test before, what did it cover? I'm not going to ask for specifics, of course, but was the content calculus based, or was it based on topics covered in pre-calculus/geometry/etc? If it's based on previous classes, I'm thinking about reviewing some of the topics covered in my previous classes, which is why I'm asking this.

No calculus at all, just pre-calc material.I got like a 46 out of 60 and was still placed into Calculus so don’t stress too much about it.

Students interested in self-study should feel free to explore and use any available resources. The CWRU Department of Mathematics, Applied Mathematics and Statistics has identified aleks.com as a possible option. The fee-based service generates a study plan based on an individual assessment, and students move through the program by demonstrating mastery of each topic.
