Math Formulas

Hi

I thinks this thread should be useful to anyone that about to take the SAT I or maybe even SAT II. I'm very new to the SAT so I was wondering if anyone who drop by could post a formula or two that you find helpful on the SAT.

Thanks!

a(t) = a0(n-1)d

The arithmetic sequence formula.

^^ Care to explain that one?

a = first term of series, n = the term of the series you are trying to find, and d is common difference of series. Its a bit wrong though, probably typo, U(n)= a + (n-1) d.

Oh, yeah. I forgot to put the “+” in. Sorry about that!

a^2 + b^2 = c^2
oddly seems to come up a bunch

^^

maybe the most important SAT I math formula
