I'm confused wether or not I should take the math ii subject test. Im taking the us history and math 1 already. The only reason why im not taking math 2 is because the only math classes I've token so far are: accounting, AP stats, algebra 2, algebra 1 and geometry. I accidentally signed myself up for the us history math1 and math 2. Considering that i havent ever done pre cal. Should I cancel math 2?

Bump please!

Read over the course for Math 2 and 1. But since you haven’t done precal, math 2 wouldn’t be recommended, as it is mainly precal. Then again, most selective colleges don’t like Math I.

Ofcourse not , Don’t take Math 2 . It will be useless since you haven’t taken Pre-Cal .

math 1
pros: no precal
easier material
cons: colleges like to see math II
harsh curve= harder to get 800
math 2
pros: better on college app
more forgiving curve
cons: precal
harder material

Precal is really more like Algebra III. It is like Algebra II but more in depth with a few new concepts. If you’re taking it in November, then I don’t think you have time to study for math II, so I’d take math I. However, if you’re taking it in December, then you might have time to get the barron’s review book and study for math II. That is, if you’re not drowned in college apps.
