I have a really hard time with Pre-Calc, I am good at quantitative math. Is a math major for me? Should I power through Calc and PreCalc and meet less of a challenge in Statistics or Calc 2?
Thanks,

If you are having any difficulty with pre-calc, don’t pursue a major in math. Or at least get through a few more courses until deciding.
What do you mean by “quantitative math”? Why do you want to major in math?
I’m a math major and don’t know what “quantitative math” is (is it arithmetic? number theory?).
You will need a solid understanding of elementary algebra, pre-calculus, and calculus topics for pretty much every field of mathematics if you decide to major in math.
You might have a good computational capability like I did, but if you’re not just passionate about the material, it’s not the time. I got older, and became more interested in going back. So I went back and began a math major and I’m in my second year now. What #2 says… Take some other courses and maybe after another semester or two you’ll have a clearer idea.
