Math Minor - Good for Anything?

I just need to take a linear algebra course and opt one of my electives to be a math course aside from my general degree plan to get a math minor... is it worth it? Would it be useful in anything aside from teaching?

I can see some possible uses if you were gonna learn some more advanced numerical techniques and that's where you were leaning in your major.

It would really depend. It's only 2 classes and allows you to have something additional to talk about in an interview. Meh.

depends on your major, if you major involves solving complex mathematical equations, a math minor is a plus. But if it does not, it is not worth it.

Even if it doesn't, people still like having people that are good at math around. I know I've been in research groups where we've been stuck on solving equations or understanding fully what something meant because none of us had as solid a background in mathematics as would have been useful at the time.

My major is Aero. Engr. Thanks for the replies BTW.

It is good if you enjoy Math and want personal enrichment.

It might give you a slight edge in employment but nothing substantial--most companies hire you for your engineering degree. Also, since most engineers are a class or two from a math minor anyway, it might not have any impact.
