Math Olympiad Notes

Hi

I know MIT attracts a lot of legendary mathematicians, so I figured I would post a question here. Does anyone have any notes for math olympiads that they'd be willing to share, or can anyone recommend some books for me? (maybe just two books that you found useful - if I had enough money, I'd just buy every math book) I've already used artofproblemsolving.com a lot; are there any other sources out there?

Aops: Art of problems solving Volume 1 and 2, it's pretty nice overview of problem solving techniques.

At risk of referring you to Art of Problem Solving again, here's a thread I found helpful:

"List your personal collection of books"

It is a little bit off-topic, but I was looking for some good Physics Textbooks to prepare for Physics Olympiad
Any suggestions?

Hriundeli - someone I know used Haliday and Resnick to prepare for physics olympiad on the advice of a former physics team coach. He made it to physics camp, although not the traveling team.

Yep, that's what I am using now - The Fundamentals...and I like it very much, but I thought there could be some texts similar to AoPS I & II

hmmm, for physics, aren't college textbooks fair choices?

there would be much less demand for a physics equivalent than there is for aops books, both because fewer people participate and because the type of problem solving that is involved is not as different from the standard curriculum for physics olympiad as it is for amc exams. Any standard calc based college text is going to be okay. Just do lots of problems.

Also, see the "Resources" tab on Artofproblemsolving.com .

There are article on various math topics and also a very practical guide on how to write your solutions.

Thomas Mildorf is a student at MIT and an IMO gold medalist. Here are some lectures he gave on a variety of Olympiad topics.
