<p>The graph of y = f(x) is shown above. If -3 is less than or equal to x is less than or equal to 6, for how many values of x does f(x) = 2 ?</p>
<p>Basically, f(x) stands for "y." The question is asking how many times y is equal to 5 between the range -3 and 6. You can draw the line y = 2 (a horizontal line passing through (0, 2). You can then see that this line crosses the graph 3 times: one to the left of the y-axis, and 2 to the right of it. This shows that f(x) = 2 three times in the interval. The answer is D.</p>
