Have we found out what was the experimental section was though for the math?

@ dude:
I worked on that for a while before figuring out that they were asking for 8x + 3y; you just add the two given terms. It was 24.

damn so easyy! i was looking at it and trying to solve it and was like nevermind so i left it blank

Omfg i didn't see that! rofl. I actually used system of equations. What a waste

I got 4 (i think) for the graph. I think I got 16 for the square.... whatever I got, it was 1/4 of the area of the ABCD square.

You mean the free response graph?..
I think that one was six. Four plus two?

Anyone understand the question "If n apples cost c cents, how much does n+5 apples cost?"

I did not have that question. That section of your test is probably experimental.

I had it...just don't remember what I put...

I'm too lazy to read all 26 pages.
What was the answer to the grid in problem where the angle was >90 and the side lengths were 4 and 5. There's more than one answer.

I guessed 7, but wasn't sure. I'm scared now.

Anything above five, I think?

Are you guys sure that it was 5/44 & not 4/45? when you canceled out, the second to last fraction was 43/44, & the last one would be 44/45, so the 45's would cancel out & 5/45 would be left?

can somebody explain why this is wrong?

I had no idea how to do the
n-1 / n
question. I guessed 4/45 I think

haojin- 7 works. It's because 3-4-5 is a right triangle. Since they ask you got >90, then anything greater than 5 would work.

TJ123- it's 5/44 forshure. at first i got 4/45 and found a careless error. [don't know how to explain..explaination too long]

Does anyone remember the range of that question...was it from 5 to 45?

sushifreak, 5 works though, correct?

haojin & sushifureak - 7 does not work. Triangles must follow the rule that when you add any two sides' lengths together, the sum is always greater than the length of the other side. You can't just put any number greater than 5. It has to be >5 and <7.

no because y wasn't 90 degrees

@ TJ123

no

Why? If x was 91 degrees, it was opposite the greatest side of the triangle. If 3 & 4 are the other sides, than isn't the range

1 (4-3) < X < 7 (4+3)

but it couldn't be one, that side had to be bigger than the other two sides, so 5 was the minimum, making 5 a possibility?

Why is that wrong?
