Math question on Rusen Melanl's 15 practice

10 on Page 21

Among the 120 students in the senior class of Rush Academy, 55 are girls and of the 40 students in the senior class who attend the talent show, 18 are boys. What is the probability that a randomly selected student has attend the talent show given that the student is a girl? (2/5)

According to the answer, it should be 22/55, which is the girls participated the show over the total senior girls. But the question is asking 22 over all the ppl participated the show, so shouldn't it be 22/40? Why not? Is the book wrong or right?

Another way to say it is, if you were to randomly pick a female student out of the entire senior class, what are the chances that that student attended the talent show?

The book is right. They did not ask for the odds of a person who was in the talent show being a girl, they asked what was the possibility of any girl in the academy being in the talent show.
