Math vs Electrical Eng

First off I would like to let you all know i am 32, and going back to school. And i am in the process of deciding to transfer. My question is which degree offers better job security and pay; Math or Electrical Eng? And masters or BS?

Also there is a special situation for me. I took a 10 year break in school, so I am being thrown into courses where they expect me to remember stuff from 10 years ago. So I am in Physics 3, and phys 1,2 are almost completely forgotten.

The reason I bring that up is that a math degree would be easier to get, since there is less to review for me, but an elec eng degree may offer more money and opportunity. Also will companies hire someone who will be a masters at 37 with no exp or bs at 35 with no exp?

Congrats on getting back to school. Personally I would recommend math because it is used across more industries. As far as companies hiring someone that old, I know my company would. This is the same issue mothers returning to the work place run into. Apply to as many internships you can to get some work experience in your field.

At what point can i apply for internship? If I can start while i am working on my degree i would be much more comfortable than waiting last minute.
