Is double majoring in Mathematics and Pre-Pharmacy a good idea? I really like Math, but I am not too sure what fields you can go into after earning your bachelors degree in it. I heard you can go into any field, but can somebody be more specific? I am taking Calc III my spring semester (I'm a freshman, got AP credit for AP Calc AB), but I do not want to waste my time if I cannot get a solid job (I'm looking forward to pursue a graduate degree). So can someone please shed some light on a mathematics major (specifically PURE mathematics)?

Depends on the type of math you are taking. I would say “Any field” is perhaps a stretch - however it is not beyond the pale for someone like, a local utilities company - to hire a math major to work in their Trends and Tracking department (stats) because of course stats is all math.

If you are interested in Public Health and Mathematics - look at graduate school for BioStatistics, Epidemiology - or any other Applied Mathematics that can be utilized in research.

As for Pure Math - you’d be pretty much limited to academics and math research.
