<p>I was recently referred to CMU as somewhere I might want to apply to, and it turns out they have the major I want to study there. Looking at the requirements and everything, I saw that they say you have to take Math I/II SAT for admission, and also the average score in the SAT math section is quite high. I looked at the required courses for the Dietrich college, saw a required statistics class and also some computing, and I think I can handle it, but it's given me the impression that this is quite a maths-heavy university. Anyone attending currently and not doing engineering or any other technical/maths related subject, how much of your time would you say maths takes up?</p>
