I believe that post #126 may have been a spammer. But who knows, maybe he did hit it.

My scores aren’t up yet. I considered strangling someone. Then I remembered I have the June 5 test and I’m probably getting the same scores as the Jan. test in the May one. But I REALLY wanted to know if I got that 800 on writing.
I hate College Board.

Jimmy, what score are you aiming for?

Should I even ask? 2400?

As much as I’d love that 2400, its out of my reach (thanks, CR). I’m aiming for a 2150 on the May one, (did it cold) and a 2350 for June. Unlikely, though. I’ll probably get like a 2250, and believe it or not, it’s not high enough (I have my reasons as to why, with only one being my applications to MIT and the like.)

A particular date, such as October, is not Harder or easier. You answer questions that have been tested on previous groups of students and the grade on the question is normed to the average test taker.

there are “myths” that some test dates have tougher SAT’s than others, october is apparently the hardest and may the easiest. and the curve is always easier for oct than may.

does anyone know where to find the stats for the results? the thing that’s like a chart (it’s on collegeboard but idk how to find) that has percentiles for different scores.

730 CR
760 M
800 W (80 G/11 E)

Done taking, very happy!

Where do you guys see your essay scores? :o

posting for my son;
Wrting 750
Math 780
CR 790

He is done with SAT testing.

^ Holy !#$%. Those are the exact same scores I posted in the thread earlier (CR: 790, M: 780, W: 750 [76 MC and 9 essay])

wow I’m way late here but this was my second time:
750 CR
700 M (this is a huge miracle since I had a big issue during the first math section!)
800 W
TOTAL: 2250

For march I had
780CR
800M
680W
so the 800W the second time around made my day, and I was psyched to not be in the 600s in math after I messed that one section up.

So that’s a 2380 superscore and I can say RIP SAT.

yay!

Is this a good set of scores?

March-- 740M 650CR 590W
May-----680M 640CR 670W

I’m not sure what to make of it, especially with the ups and downs from March to May. Superscore is 2060…I’m sure that’s low by CC standards, but in reality, can anyone tell me if these scores are ok for good schools?

March: 710 CR, 740M, 710W w. 9 essay 2160
May: 670 CR, 780M, 800W w. 12 essay 2250

Yeah so i somehow tanked the CR this time…40 points worse, might retake for kicks senior year to see if i can break that 2300 in a single sitting or with superscore. The latter, im quite sure i can do.

does that mean the curve was harder than it should have been?

I think the curve went back to its average self (meaning before the annoying January and March curves). I know I missed about 5 in CR and I got a 720. In math I missed one and got a 780. In Writting I got a 67 MC and a 12 essay for a 730.

These seem like the typical curves we were used to before this year started.

haha I DGAF cause I’m done with the SAT, but this could be promising for everyone still taking it.

guys need help here…my math section score went up from 720 to 800, and the score of other two sections went effing down by several points(several 10s that is)… that is really unexpected because i prepared much more for this SAT(may one) than my previous one. so should i go for a recheck? help me!!!

I got a 2110 this time. kinda disappointed though
CR: 680
Math: 680—> this is sad considering i got a 34 on the ACT math!
Writing: 750
MC: 68
Essay: 12

Up 90 points from Jan though
Total: 2020:
CR: 660
Math: 630
Writing: 730
MC 66
Essay: 12

i think im going to retake it… what do you guys suggest?

^I suggest retaking. I believe you have a chance to still improve your score to the 700s.

Screw the math it’s so easy to make one or two mistakes… how do you guys get 800’s? I feel like I can’t do it…

First Time:

CR: 800
M: 690
W: 800

Second Time:

Cr: 800
M: 760
W: 800

I worked through all of Kaplan’s SAT Math workbook, but I missed two questions that I basically just misread/misunderstand because I was moving too quickly. I feel like it’s out of my control haha but I know it’s not because I know people who CONSISTENTLY get 800’s, how is this possible?

well youve got 800 in CR and CW, i think thats even more impossible!..:)
