May 2010 Writing SAT Thread

this writing section better have a generous curve

Coup - same.

Honey, if it wasn’t being modified, would be with has. Ugh, I forget what my answer was for that one.

I had A for the plays one. it made the most sensce.

for the mechanic

i had when buying a car something, I have it checked.

i put distinctive.

gthopeful - also had 3 NE from 11-29
the one in the last section “more pleased than i” or "more pleasure than me???

i think this test went a lot better than the march and definitely easier

I put more pleasure than me

was the myriad one NE, or should the myriad part have been an error?

peachie-
Can you explain why honey, if modified, could be correctly paired with “have”?

Why would myriad be an error? It can be used as an adjective.

I’m pretty sure it was “Nobody was more pleased than I”…or whatever it was. I put A for that.

11 in the first one.

A?

Something to do with plays.

I think I put D)of any as the error for the myriad question (if I’m even thinking of the right question, lol). It included as blantantly blah blah blah right?

I put NE for the myriad question.

Nobody was more pleased than I. “A”

I put NE for the blantanly assassinated one. I had to ponder over that one for a while.

why wouldn’t it be D? because doesn’t the comparison have to be as…as…?

It’s “No one was more pleased than me” not “…I…”

So, B. Im sure. There was another question like this in one of the practice tests. B is right.

It’s not me because the answer was a little different than the original sentence. Something else in the original statement was changed, besides me. If the original statement didn’t change, I prob would’ve put B.

for mechanic I had C , I have something

it was A the one with I for #4 section 10 confirmed

and it was A for the plays one confirmed #9 I believe

and distinctive confirmed for #29

“No one was more pleased than I” is correct.

“I” was the subject, not the object.

the mechanic one was

when buying a car something, I have it checked. i think it was #10
Answer choice C.

I’m looking at -1 10-11 essay

790-800?

B was something along the lines of ‘No one felt more pleasure than me,’ I think.
