NONONONONONONONNONONONONONONONONONONO THE DATA QUESTION WAS GUTRHIE BUT THE GIFTED THING WAS NOOOOOOOOOOOOOT GUTHRIE!!! damn damn damn stupid sat messing out minds.

i know for a FACT there were 13 cave q’s. cause it was a 20 min section, and i was freaking because i would have to spend 15 min on the stupid paleolithic demonic deals things passages, and only 5 min on vocab. >:(
i thought i was doing so welll… until then. ehh, ohh well.

its mentor and fledging, pretty sure

@ruthie IN THAT CASE we must think of the last 3 questions… when thats done, im 85% sure weve got all the passage questions

since they were all pretty much comparison, it’d be difficult to differentiate between the different ones

ARGH and that freakin passage was my most disgusting one…

we can also go back to discussing
- gifted thing (THIS IS NOOOOOOOT GUTRHIE)
- early attempts thing (THIS ISSSSSS GUTRHIE)

Wait so what was the answer to the data one? I don’t remember paradox being an answer for that.

the paradox was another question - it wasnt a comparison… the exact wording was “emphasize a paradox”
the data one i put “early attempts by accomplished artists” because they were textbook drawings so they arent teenagers things…

ooh sauternety have you gotten this question?!!?!

i can’t remember it, but it was solely about guthrie’s passage.
the answer I selected was something about careless.
it was the last question in the first column of q’s
it was about the teenagers who drew the drawings, and how they drew them.
errgg i can’t quite recall; i just know “careless” or “carelessly” was in the answer i selected.

ohh nvm i just checked, you have it playfully careless. oh darn.

random q about the black singer:
was the purpose of the passage:
-impressionistic view of public event
-nostalgic recollection of personal achievement

i put the impressionistic one?

These next 18 days will be the longest 18 days of my entire life…
Oh May 26, come faster?

@sauternety - thanks for the consolidated list!
should there be 10 more questions somewhere?
any would a -2 be likely to be a 800 on this CR? what is the 800 cutoff likely to be (in terms of errors, not omissions)

also - with the ‘general agreement’ one, is that correct? that is what I put, just wondering if it was the cautious acceptance one.

Anybody had that passage about Venice? It was ridiculously hard. I had a CR experimental… I hope this Venice passage was experimental…

I also had the venice double passage.

I’m sure it was experimental.

“- Blur between day and night”

Actually…I disagree.

The overall passage was all about time + day + night things, but although that SPECIFIC part did mention “night”, there was nothing clear given regarding day.

I might be wrong, but can someone provide me with a train of thought that explains why it was not “time and space” instead of “day and night”?

EDIT: More precisely, it spoke of manufacturing in general and of airports I believe. There was some mention about night in the airports, but I found the Day VS Night contrast to be more of an assumption than anything stated clearly in that PART of the text.

i noticed a few mistakes - im pretty sure that the assumption was that there is too much focus on theoretical jazz etc. cause the guy in the passage says : Jazz players reciever years of theoretical knowledge and instrumental training, however we …

in the whales passage burst and smokes pretty much means that they havent accomplished much or something, the answer is in the lines of failure - i think the “effort” that you have mentioned is my answer choice but i cant be sure.

I am sure that the first time and day answer is wrong, the rest are correct though

i think you did the black girl (no hate) section really well. execept the dancing high schoolers emotion is resignation - pretty sure of that

cavepaintings screwed me sideways =( i dont rem. beauty is eternal and reverent, im sure theres no general agreement. and anything having to do with the author of passage 2 - IS SKEPTICISM OF PEOPLE WHO THINK THAT CAVE PAINTINGS DISPLAY THE ARTISTIC TALENTS OF CAVEMEN - sorry just had to highlight that cause i thought it was important

if evocative and moving had to do with author of passage two then its wrong for sure, if it was with the author of passage one then i think it maybe correct.

VOCAB

Business - im pretty sure it was mentor and fledging. To promote economics growth the government requested successful mexican-american business men to ______ new ______ businesses. or something like that - but mentor and fledging fit fine.

WHAT ABOUT - that question where they talk about that mayor women being firm on her views etc. etc. I put outspokeness and firm. i think its correct - not sure.

please reply guys if you think im wrong or if you can add to my info. i am scarily paranoid bout this sat. i died in math - (720 max). but verbal was ballin (hoping for 740 +)
