How common is it for students to pursue an MBA after 4 years at a liberal arts school?
Is that common practice or something unheard of? I'm thinking of an MBA after majoring in Economics at Grinnell College, but do others at top LAC's do that too?

I was going to post this question over on the parents forum. DS#2 is <possibly> interested in pursuing business and will apply to several of the larger schools with good undergraduate business programs. However, DS#1 is happily ensconced in a LAC and I really like the smaller atmosphere.</possibly>

I’d like to hear from other people who have done graduate business school after attending a liberal arts college.

Undergraduate Majors Business Administration 26%
Engineering/Natural Sciences/Technical Disciplines 33%
Humanities/Social Sciences 40%
Other 2%

Undergraduate institutions represented 270

MBA programs accept students from a wide array of backgrounds, some are more competitive than others since programs try to diversify there admitted classes.

Generally a portion is reserved for those wanting to pursue finance, a portion for those pursuing consulting, and the remaining portion is open based on diversified backgrounds.
