MBA Concentrations

I have my Undergraduate in Mechanical Engineering and have been working for several years now. I just started an MBA and have been wondering about concentrations. My eventual goal is to end up in the corporate end my industry (Power Plant Engineering/Construction). There are 5 concentrations available at my school in

Marketing
Finance
International Business
Human Resources
Accounting

I am torn in which way to go. My gut says to do Finance and Accounting, and maybe round out with International. The dean of my program recommended HR due to the fact that those responsiblities are shifting toward the front line managers (again my goal is not to be front line manager but managing the whole business). I did do international business in a previous company, and although my current company does not have a major interest in international, many competitors do and even if I never leave here, there is no such thing as a domestic business that isn't in some way affected by globalization.

All opinions are welcome.

Finance and Marketing sounds pretty good for what you want to do.

Agreed with the marketing and finance options. In all likelihood your position after graduation will be based mostly on the fact that you have an engineering degree, your past employment and just having the MBA.
