Hi all,

I'm looking to continue my career in the film industry. I currently live in Austin but want to get involved in the big boys' game in LA. I did two years corp finance in the technology sector before doing two years on the creative side of filmmaking. My dream post-MBA job would be creative exec at a major studio, or something similar at a large production company -- I would love to have a role that places me at the creative/business crossroads. But, I'm not overly picky -- I'd also go for a job at a big talent agency (mailroom track) or even just on the business side of things at a studio or film financing company (Fox/Disney/etc).

I've been accepted to UCLA-Anderson, USC-Marshall, and NYU-Stern; I've also been waitlisted by NYU's film school -- if accepted I'll be auto-admitted to the NYU dual degree MBA-MFA program in producing.

So my long-winded question is this: what are peoples' opinions on the best fit for my goals? USC and UCLA have the advantage of being in LA, making networking and internships easier. The NYU dual-degree program clearly provides the most comprehensive education for someone with my goals, but I'm not sure of the value of the MFA in Producing in the studio system (I have heard from film school folks that most Producing MFA students want to become independent producers).

Thanks for any and all advice.
