MCAT Question

Hello guys, I am about to be a freshman at Northwestern U. I have always wanted to go to medical school but I think that doing well on the test will be harder than achieving a high GPA. Although the questions were easy after looking back, I struggled with the ACT, mostly on Reading. Is there any prep I can do now, especially on the Verbal part of the test? I realize that learning the material the first time in class is most important but the structure freaks me out.

I guess you could just read articles and such online at a fast pace and see if you can get the main ideas down. That might help you with your reading speed, especially if you start doing this early on. But, any other prep done beforehand will be pretty pointless in my opinion. Also, verbal is ridiculously hard to improve. I was hitting 9-10 on my practice verbal sections. Ended up with a 11 on the real deal.
