wondering if any outside reading (reading medical journals) would help me prepare and better understand the MCAT verbal passages. If not reading then what will help because i am really really bad at all verbal tests. Thanks

bumppppppppppppp

Reading any kind of dense material (like the Economist or medical journals) will probably help you with the verbal section. However, based on my experience, it is very difficult to improve on the verbal section simply by reading. By now, your reading ability is pretty much set. You're better off buying Examkrackers and practicing their verbal strategies (which are supposed to work for people of any verbal ability).

NCG, could you tell me what you mean by saying that your reading ability is set by now? Can't reading improve your reading ability regardless of your age?

Also, how would you rank the following magazines in terms of sophistication and helpfulness?:
WSJ
The Economist
Nytimes
