I think this poll will come out quite balanced. This site attracts, as I would assume, mostly kids from fairly wealthy families. They'll probably be more likely to vote McCain. On the other hand, a lot of Obama's support comes from young voters. People close of our age generally back Obama. Let's see how this turns out.

Only twice did a presidential candidate on the same party as a two-term president win the election. The last time when it occurred was when Bush Sr won in '88 and Reagan was 3x more popular than Bush.

That may be true but with Obama i don't think we should look to past elections, bc statistically from the past he shouldn't be the nominee. But overall as i heard a pundit say, it will not be an election about McCain, it will be an election about Obama, and wheter or not ppl want to vote for him, not if ppl want to vote for McCain.

You mean he didn't win the delegate race?

i can definitly see this being quite even. Many people here are clearly the "I want to make as much money as possible and don't care about the well being of the rest of the country" types, aka fiscal conservatives, which, although I was quite harsh, make up many of the rich in this country. However, the idealism of the youth from CC will back Obama.

OBAMA '08!!!!!!

McCain is so old. Just look at photos of Clinton and Bush before and after their presidency. MC is prolly gonna collapse on an airplane to Iran or sth one day.

People are so stupid when they say the only reason they won't pick someone is because of their age.

I backed Obama earlier (during the early primary races), and I had my reasons... but now they seem insignificant. I think I was looking for reasons to like him.
I don't really like McCain, but I think he'll be a better president.

People are so stupid when they say people are so stupid when they won't pick someone because of their age.

@ASC, Obama didn't exactly "sweep" the primaries, but he won little by little. In a traditional race, a candidate would have focused heavily on Super Tuesday. In the Republican race, Super Tuesday pretty much decided that McCain would be the nominee.

If McCain wins, he would be the oldest American president ever. That makes his age a significant factor. And his VP choice.

Sexycani: true, but Obama ended up with the delegates, no questions asked.

In any event, no need to beat a dead horse.

Yep. Obama won in the end (I'm so glad that it didn't go to the convention), but I think his way of winning shows that the election this year will be much different from the ones in the past.

McCain: 8
Obama: 12
Neither: 3

McCain 08, i mean he has something that can not be quantified a person who would spend five years in prison in Vietnam, when he could have gone home, bc he didn't want to leave his men behind that is courage.

Hmm, I wonder if you felt in 2004 when it was John "War Hero" Kerry vs. George "Texas National Air Guard" Bush.

You know what's even stupider? Not voting for someone because of someone's non-religion.

I hope the american ppl don't fall into this media craze about Obama just bc he is black.

Those blacks certainly have it easy, don't they?

The people attracted to this website tend to be the successful, go-getter types. The ones who don't need or want government handouts.

Actually, most of them are probably affluent kids that ironically espouse earning one's living while they have their parents pay for their SAT tutoring.
