<p>Even if your not eighteen just list who your voting for and why.
(please we dont need a paragraph why just a quick sentence or two)
I'll go first....
I'm voting for Obama because of that 4,000 tax credit credit for college students with 100 hours of community service.</p>
<p>I've been an Obama supporter since very early in the primaries. I agree with pretty much everything he stands for.</p>
<p>McCain, because redistribution of wealth is un-American, and Obama would tax my family between $116,000 and $702,000 a year.</p>
<p>Deciding between McCain or writing in Ron Paul. If McCain had a better VP choice I wouldn't be considering RP.
I will not vote for BO b/c:
It is not the rich's patriotic duty to pay higher taxes (Biden)
Joe Biden is experienced, but his past is filled with questionable actions and statements
BO's lack of experience
Tax policy- would repeal Bush Tax cuts, which means the estate tax, aka death tax, will continue to exist, and the cap. gains tax will increase, further discouraging people from investing in the stock market. Repealing tax cuts on oil companies is only going to increase gas prices more, hurting people like Joe Danko(Biden reference VP debate)
Stated he wants to militarily strike Pakistan in presidential debate. Great, another war!
BO's interventionist motivated foriegn policy ("we need to protect American interests abroad" can you say another Iraq?). We need to take care of our country before playing world police force.
BO's voting record(when he votes), most liberal senator, voted among party lines 97% of he time(3% involved weapons bills). His record does not show that he is bipartisan or willing to work across party lines.
BO had the WORST attendance of any Dem. congressman
Abstained from multiple votes to avoid being held accountable for the vote
Supports Partial ban abortions (fetus removed as long as 6mths into pregnancy, baby attempts to cry and breath before dying)
His wife received a SIX FIGURE pay increase when BO was elected as Ill. senator
Tries to relate to middle America but lives in a $1.6 mill, 6 bedroom house while telling other people they need to make sacrifices for their country (McCain is also well off, but at least he's dedicated his entire adult life to serving his country/it's Cindy's $)
Poorly detailed policies, has not explained WHERE he's getting the money
His health care policy is GARBAGE, McCain would save Americans twice as much $
He voted for the bailout (as did McCain, another reason I'm looking at RP)
BO's involvement in Acorn
Bo is dishonest
BO recieved over $200,000 from oil executives' family when in Ill. yet criticizes other candidates accepting the same money
BO has fraudulent donors, i.e. people giving donations in ficticious names
He accepted thousands of dollars from children younger than 10
Jeremiah Wright(even though he's a sell out- church is building him a $1 mill+ house in an affluent white neihborhood). Sorry, when a man attends an afro centric, racist church for 20 years, I have a hard time believing he truly wants to transcend race.
Has not sponsored or co sponsored any important or somewhat notable piece of legislation
His candidacy is greatly aided by the inability of people to be objective. Many fail to thouroughly research his past, as it contradicts his present statements and promises. The media helped perpetrate this ignorance, and it's scary how many disillusioned people support BO.</p>
<p>I will be voting for Bob Barr of the libertarian party. McCain is a poor republican and an even worse conservative, so I am casting my vote to show my support for the conservative/libertarian ideas that this county has strayed from. McCain's economic plan isn't very different from Obama's; it's better that things go sour under Obama and democrats get the blame than more of the blame falling on republicans.</p>
<p>Like tiff90, I wish McCain had a better VP choice :( still undecided at the moment.</p>
<p>Obama/Biden. I could get into the reasons, but to keep it short, I'm very liberal, and thus agree with their stance on issues.</p>
<p>I'm also voting in a battleground state :D</p>
<p>Don't vote for Bob Barr, he's fake libertarian. Barr does not represent true, hard line conservatism, Ron Paul does. Don't vote for a sell out b.c McCain's not a true conservative.
I'm voting in Cuyahoga county(Cleveland) Ohio so it makes it a bit more difficult as it is a hotly contested area so I might regret voting for someone who isn't on the ballot. Basically I just don't want BO to win, period, so I will probably end up voting(reluctantly) McCain. Also, make sure you research other people who are running, such as congressmen, state reps and other state offices! I personally am not voting for anyone who voted for the bailout, if you disagree w/the bailout, go to campaign for liberty as they released a list of everyone who voted for the bailout.
I just can't throw my support behind Palin, if it is possible I'd vote for a different VP.</p>
<p>McCain</p>
<p>but I agree with the others - wish there was a better choice, but we're (once again) stuck with the lesser of two evils.</p>
<p>wow lots of McCain's so far, kind of suprising</p>
<p>Barack Obama, so that he can be this generation's Jimmy Carter and give rise to another run of republican/conservative presidents (and congresses) after him. Think of it as a sacrifice bunt.</p>
<p>
Don't vote for Bob Barr, he's fake libertarian.
The ideas that he's running on are still fundamentally libertarian/conservative. When McCain losses a swing state by a few thousand votes while tens of thousands voted for a libertarian, republicans will realize they need to get back to basics.</p>
<p>
Barack Obama, so that he can be this generation's Jimmy Carter
I have no doubt that under Obama Americans will learn the true price of Liberalism (that's with a big L).</p>
<p>Don't you mean socialism, with a big S?</p>
<p>I don't like either candidate...then again I never do =(</p>
<p>Can I be honest here?</p>
<p>A lot of college students I know are supporting Obama because he's the chic vote among young people, and not because they actually know and agree with what he advocates and proposes for this country.</p>
<p>Probably voting McCain, though I hope the Republicans lose so they realize they need to shake their party up a bit and get rid of the overly strong influence of the religious right.</p>
<p>Obama, I want the US international image to change. I don't want us to be perceived as xenophobic, hate mongering cowboys. Sorry, I just don't agree with Republican social policies, although I am more conservative economically.</p>
<p>Palin is not qualified to be VP IMO, and McCain's age is a very serious problem. </p>
<p>Again, while Palin was not the best choice, Damon has absolutely no right to discuss the issue. He's no more an expert than any of us.</p>
<p>i agree with the youth voting for barack obama, even though they have no idea what he will do for them.</p>

</p>
<p>And us college students are more qualified to talk than Matt Damon? I was just bringing in another perspective.</p>
<p>Personally, I don't need an expert to tell me that someone who takes the Bible literally is bat**** insane.</p>
<p>I agree with you- Palin was not the best choice. In fact, she was a horrible choice, which makes the McCain/Palin ticket look even worse for the Republican party.</p>
<p>Obama because we don't need to war for another century.</p>
