@yw123 It will take time. The vast majority are still at “ready to review.” Once the admission deadline has passed, the admissions team will begin to review the majority of students.
My school keeps IB predicted scores confidential from students, should I get my predicted scores mailed to McGill?? My Status is “further review required” and they are asking for test scores and mid year report.
WHEN ARE THEY REPLYING???
@yw123 , stay calm. The admission decisions span until late May, from what I believe. Especially for more competitive programs, I get that it is frustrating but I am sure that you will hear from them soon
I applied in sep. and i have been checking a lot but did not realize that the status changes when you click the link not just in the “application and documentation status” page. I have “Further review required”
my scores:
3.74 uw and a 4.06 w
act: 32
act writing test: 6/12
American private school
and i applied to the faculties of:
-science
-Faculty of Agric. Environ Sci.
good luck!!
@nhtigerdad I was admitted into both arts and management about a week ago. I also had a B+ in my pre-calc class but made a deal with my teacher that if I finished with an A in calc, she would change my pre-calc grade to an A-. In my experience, my high school teachers have always been flexible, especially when it becomes the difference between an entrance scholarship or admittance into a college.
S20 just received it tonight.
US High School
Admitted pending final results Faculty of Physical Science & Faculty of Art
Citizenship status: US Citizen
GPA (UW or W) 3.85uw/4.22w
SAT: 1540 (740/800)
SAT/Subject tests: 770 Math II, 720 Chem
Just checked and my status changed to Further Review Required and they are requesting my grade 12 results, hoping it’s a good sign! Can I upload my first quarter report card? Or do I have to upload a transcript
@afor912 I would upload the first quarter grades and if no decision is received then upload the first semester transcript as soon as available.
has anyone here applied to nursing?
DS accepted today to Arts.
US high school
3.85/4.35 GPA
1540 SAT one sitting
790 Math II
770 Physics
4 APs (three @ 5, 1 @ 4)
After you submit your 1semester grades how long does it take to go back to ready for review? DD submitted 1st semester transcript today.
@BAWLWWW I am in the same position. My status updated to “further review required” yesterday and I uploaded my 1st semester grades today. Hoping it won’t take too long! I think some people heard back within days of updating their grades.
Hi everyone, I made this thread for all applicants, and am glad you all find it helpful. I just got admitted today “Admitted Pending Final Results.” I used to be Ready to Review and just got the notification.
GPA Weighted: 4.66 (School doesn’t calculate UW)
SAT: 1510
SAT Math 2: 740
SAT Chemistry: 790
AP Biology, AP Chemistry, AP Calculus AB all 5
Thanks for keeping the thread alive. Hope everyone hears back soon!
Accepted Faculty of Arts!!
29 ACT but 34’s but reading and english
3.82 weighted GPA but each semester of high school my gpa increased until consistent 4.2+ for junior and senior year!
I am a US applicant and thought posting this might possibly help assuage someones stress! I definitely feel like I got in due to my upward trend and high scores in reading/english! There are many means to an end with the college process and perfection is usually not the case!
Seems like only US high school offers are out. Idk any international student outside the US that has gotten an offer
@AryanJain2860 American universities often announce admission decisions earlier than other countries so McGill tries to clear them first. Overseas decisions should follow. Canadian applicants are usually the last to get their decisions.
Mine switched to further review last week and I submitted my updated grades the same day (January 15) and nothing has changed since then. I really just want my decision lol. Does anyone have any idea how long it takes for them to process new documents?
Tbram22. I’m glad you were able to work that out, but my kid tells me there is no way the pre calc teacher would change her grade. Different teachers for pre calc and ap calc. She’d be perfectly happy as just and “arts” student, but it would be nice to graduate with a ba and a bs.
She goes to a traditional middle-class high school, but every year at open house the teachers would talk about the school initiative to decrease grade inflation. Generally I think that’s good, but it def hurt my kids chance of getting into arts and science. Unweighted 3.75 puts her at 6th in the class. That’s a low gpa for that ranking.
I see everyone listing AP classes and scores, but I’m not sure they look at that. My kid (3.75 uw, all A’s in English, 33 ACT) has only completed one AP class (engl lang, 5 on exam) and she got in to faculty of arts. She is currently enrolled in three AP’s with three A’s on the first marking period report card she submitted with application, but no test scores, obviously.
