I assume that you mean McMaster in Canada, not Macalester in Minnesota.

I have visited both. What turned me off about Macalester was its strange over-focus on liberalism and humanitarianism. Some ridiculous percentage of graduates go on to the peace core and such… because they cant get jobs?!. I also didn’t like the focus of their education, which seemed to be fairly politicized and lacking in substance. It definitely has a pretty campus though.
Bates was fantastic when I went. I loved the facilities and the size of the school. The school spirit kind of flowed throughout. Everything was freshly painted and it just seemed more… worth my money than many other institutions. I also sat in on a class and was particularly impressed by the student body. The area is really great though, and thats what stuck with me when I ended up choosing nearby Bowdoin.

Uh . . . yeah. That would sort of be the main defining characteristic of Macalester. So if you aren’t into that, why would you visit there?

this guy is obviously joking. McMaster? Bates?

McMasturbates

McMaster is 10X the size of Bates. Do you want a big or small school?

Personally, I loved Bates. I’d go again in a heartbeat.

People will tell you that you have better opportunities for research at a large university but my experience was the opposite; I found that because my classes were small I got to know my profs. quite well and that served me well when applying to grad. schools. Both my husband (also a Bates grad.) and I ended up at Harvard (education and business).

do you guys honestly not realize that he just wrote McMaster Bates. I.E. Mc Masturbates.?

this thread is hilarious

■■■■■ to this thread.
aw, people were actually trying to advise him, too!

and, the one guy was advising him on Macalaster, which wasn’t even mentioned by the OP

McMaster vs. Bates. Hmm.
I would say neither and go to Vanderbilt. Pwn.

seriously,vinnyli, he is saying McMasturbates.

lololololol the obliviousness of some posters in this thread is astounding.

But anyways… I’d say going to both those schools would be the best choice. McMasterbates is overall excellent. I believe you’ll find that it feels good to go there.

BuddyMcAwesome: I know, but masturbating < sex with dumb blonde chicks.
