<p>Hey guys so on the UC Davis website it says for room and board the cost is $13,961. I was just wondering does this cost cover the meal plans that are offered at Davis. And if they do which meal plan does it cover like the 180 meals/quarter, 120, 150, or unlimited? Or do you have to pay extra for the meal plan separate from the $13,961 room and board price?</p>
<p>Also are these pricings true for the meal plans. I found some other person on a different thread on college confidential post these numbers in 2011.

<p>Yes, room and board covers meal plans, and it covers all of them. You do not pay separate for meal plans unless you are living off campus (but then if you are living off-campus, your living cost may or may not be equivalent to $13,961 for the entire academic year). Also, that $13,961 is just an estimate, and not entirely accurate, because it doesn’t take into account your living occupancy (single, double, or triple) or what kind of meal plan you have (if you have the budget 90 meal plan, you’ll be paying less than someone with the unlimited meal plan, which, btw, is a complete waste because you can comfortably eat 3 meals a day with the 180 meal plan and still have some swipes left over for those occasional purchases at the convenience stores in each of the residence hall areas). </p>
<p>The prices from 2011 are not true because meal plan prices have gone up since then. There have also been changes from meal plans back in 2011 and meal plans now–back in 2011, you had an option of purchasing a meal plan with or without Aggie Cash, whereas now, all your meal plans also come with Aggie Cash included, whether you like it or not (and that makes the meal plan more expensive as a result). </p>
