I’ve recently applied to SDSU and was wondering about my chances to get into the mechanical engineering program. I live in Colorado here are my stats ACT:25 SAT: 1170 CSU GPA: 3.45
probably not - be sure to apply elsewhere.
SDSU admits by eligibility index and major.
Your EI is (CSU GPA x 800) + (SAT Math+EBRW) or (CSU GPA x 200) + (ACT composite x10).
So based on your posted stats, your EI’s are 3930 for SAT and 940 for ACT. Based on the EI data I have collected over the last few years, unless you are in the local service area (even local is no guarantee), your chances are low.
You want a target EI of 1000+ ACT and 4100+ SAT for the best chances. If you are able to raise your SAT/ACT score, then it could help your chances.
Apply widely and best of luck.
