AAMC's book (MSAR?) lists the earliest date to apply to each med school. Does that mean if one applies later than that date, their admission chances are reduced? Nephew is taking MCAT in late May and won't have his scores until late June. What does this mean for him?

He can still be working on his AMCAS submission. That’s the gateway. He should start now. Some of it is tedious. I’ll let others chime in with MCAT timing and whether or not to submit prior to having the scores back.

It will be reduced, but not by a ton. He should be fine as long as he’s got all his ducks lined up beforehand and he really rockets out once he’s got that score.
