So far I have narrowed my Medical School choices down to Wake Forest, Duke, Stanford, and USC. They all have specialty areas in Orthopedic Surgery which is what I am interested in pursuing. I can look at the stats and feedback on each schools online websites, but I was curious if anyone has any positive/negative experiences at these schools or has known someone who attended one of these schools and gave some feedback? Any information will help because right now I am not leaning towards any particular school. Thanks

have you been accepted to all of these schools? If not, this discussion is premature, and I hope these 4 represent your top choices, not your whole list. 4 schools is way too few to apply to unless you have a major connection at one of them (e.g. your dad is the dean, your uncle is dean of admissions, etc)

Yes I am sorry I did not clarify. These are my top choices. I applied to many schools. Are you familiar with any of these schools Medical programs?

You probably won’t get into all of them so I’d worry about this later.

Also, if you haven’t been on any interviews yet, you’ll see you can learn a lot from them (not necessarily from the prepared talks though). Then you also have 2nd look. As I said, without an acceptance in hand, worrying about this stuff is a waste of time, but more importantly, the people you meet at interviews and 2nd looks will provide far better/more useful information on specific schools than any of us here.

Thanks for the information. Appreciate it!
